There could be a few reasons why the item may be coming up as not
If you selected to only send a subset of the item list to the
device the item you are trying to scan may not be there. Check the item list to
see if it was sent to the device during check out.
If it is a barcode make sure that it is the one currently defined
for that item. Barcodes can be viewed/modfied/defined through the device's
barcode editor, which can be found on the main screen of Pocket Inventory. If
the barcode comes from a custom field in your back-end make sure that custom
field was included to be sent to the device during check out.
Some scanner attach a "Check Digit" to the end of the barcode. In
Pocket Inventory turn "Remove Check Digit" on from the "Preferences" menu. This
will remove the trailing charachter from the barcode so that it can be
recognized by Pocket Inventory.
