Software Updates - Service Pack 1.8.4

(Note if you already have v 1.8.4 [Help --> About], you do not need to install this service pack)

We are pleased to announce version 1.8.4 of NumberCruncher Work Orders. This is a general maintenance which includes all previous updates and fixes. It addresses certain known bugs and and performance issues.

Additionally, 1.8.4 includes an Export List feature on the Inventory List. After the list is exported you can open it with MS Excel.

Setup Instructions

  • Backup your numbercruncher work orders data file. The Work Orders data file has a .NCB file extension (e.g. Your Company.NCB) and has a blue-purple W for an icon. The default location of the Work Orders data file is C:\Program Files\NumberCruncher Work Orders\data. You can back up the file by copying or backing-up the file as you would any other Windows file;
  • Close NumberCruncher Work Orders;
  • Download the update and Save the file to a Folder;
  • Open the folder and double click downloaded file;
  • Click Set Up;
  • Click OK;
  • Click the large button to install update to default folder (C:\Program Files\NumberCruncher Work Orders or Change Directory to install to different folder.
    Note: The update must be installed in the same folder as the original program;
  • If you receive a Version Conflict Message - click No to All.
  • Follow the above instructions for each computer on your network that has access to NumberCruncher Work Orders [You only need to backup the NumberCruncher data file once].
  • The first time you run NumberCruncher do File --> Synchronize QB.
