Customers List

The Customers list is used to view, add and edit Customers.

 

Use Previous and Next arrow buttons to scroll through the list one item at a time or click a Customer on the list to view the information.

 

The Reset button returns the original values to the selected Customer.  If creating a new Customer, then the values will be blank.

 

Along with the basic Customer data (Name, Company Name and subset level), Customer information is separated into three tabs: General Information, Address Information, and Contact Information.

 

The following information is available when creating Customers.

Customer

A unique name or number that identifies the Customer in drop-down boxes and lists.

Company Name (optional)

Displays the Customers' Company Name on various reports

Subset of

Checkmarking the box enables the dropdown list of all other Customers to make the current Customer a sub of the Customer in the dropdown list.

 

General Information

What's its used for

Price Level

The price of Items assigned to the Customer (e.g. Retail, Wholesale, etc.)

Credit Limit

Credit amount allocated to the Customer.

Opening Balance

Customer's opening balance amount.

Opening Balance Date

Date the opening balance was entered.

Shipping Method

Default shipping method.

Terms

Default terms

Sales Rep

Sales representative assigned to the Customer.

Sales Tax Code

Sales tax applied

Item Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax

 

Address Information

 

Each Customer can have a Billing Address and a different Shipping Address.  For those Customers who use the same address, NumberCruncher makes it easy copy the Billing Address to the Shipping Address by clicking the "Copy Billing Address" button.

NumberCruncher stores additional data fields than QuickBooks.  NumberCruncher data fields can be maintained by NumberCruncher but QuickBooks fields must be maintained in QuickBooks. The fields that are not editable within NumberCruncher are disabled.
